How To Avoid Job Scams
Recently I recieved a mail that read: Disney Cruise Line Job offer 2016.
Disney Cruise Line is the trading name of Magical Cruise Company limited which is a subsidiary of the Walt Disney company.
Some Job alerts are scam! |
The mail entitled "Disney Cruise Line Job Offer" informed me that Disney Cruise Line was hiring with a Job ID-EU/DCL/00867-15.It also said there was a minimum job requirement of 18 years, the company needed 350 applicants and stated some job positions.
Experts comment that emails have nothing to do with Disney Land.
This is a typical Job scam. They make wonderful job offers and ask job seekers to make contact via-disneycruiseemployment@india.com.
Those who fall for this are asked to fill up bogus forms that require sensitive and financial information.
They will later be contacted by the fraudsters and informed that they were successful but that they need to pay some certain amount of money upfront for say, their visa,Insurance, etc.
How do you avoid this?
- Never give out sensitive information or financial information to anyone online.
- Never give out your card pins to anyone.
- Search for jobs on genuine sites.
- When you get a scam job mail from a fraudster, simply delete them!
